Having finally solved my issues of sashing and borders on this quilt, it's finally on the frame so that I can get it quilted. I loved this quilt when I was piecing it, but now - it's really green. I'm not sure how I feel about that. The quilting is coming along nicely and my machine is behaving well. I probably shouldn't say that as I still have a few rows to do and the binding to add. Hopefully I will get it all ready so that I can sew the back of the binding down while I sit at my quilt guild meeting next week.

Spring Magic - can't decide on sashing color

I have been working on a queen size quilt top from the pattern "Fiddlesticks" by Kansas Troubles using a couple of jelly rolls from April Cornell's Spring Magic line. It's turning out so pretty! And, it makes me happy. I does indeed look like Spring. It's time to put the sashing between the rows and I just can't decide which color to use; white? spring green? rose? yellow? none of these? I guess I'll have to look at it for awhile to see if it speaks to me. Anyone have any ideas?

T-Shirt quilts done
Now that I am gaining stamina I find myself back in my sewing room more often. And, a wonderful all day "sew-in" with my quilting bee really helped to get me back in the mood to sew.

While at the all-day sew-in on Saturday, I started putting together the pieces for a pretty spring-time quilt that I cut out way last fall. I am using the pattern "Fiddlesticks" by Kansas Troubles. and fabric from April Cornell's Spring Magic line. I think it's going to be very pretty.
Of course, that will put another quilt top (now numbering 7) to hang in my closet awaiting their turn on the quilt frame.
I have finished the twin's t-shirt quilts. One twin wanted things "orderly and all in a row". The other twin wanted it "mixed up and happy". So, that is exactly what I did.
