A Big Girl quilt for Elise

It's happy and bright. This quilt reminds me of sherbet. It's just perfect for little Elise! The pattern is from the book "Turning Twenty Again". The quilt measures 70 inches by 90 inches. The fabric was a fat quarter bundle from Moda's Spring Fever. The quilting was done edge to edge alternating rows of "Princess" by JoAnn Hoffman and butterflies. I even quilted a special "Grandma Loves Elise" message toward the bottom of the quilt. I wonder how old she will be before she sees it?

My next project really needs to be my donation quilt for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. This year's theme is The Cat In The Hat. I have all of the fabrics and the pattern ready to go and our guild members like to display all of these donation quilts at the fair before they are sold at auction. That's what I "need" to do.

What I really "want" to do is to work on my Civil War Tribute quilt. It is a block of the month quilt and I am WAY behind.

We shall see who wins this battle.

  2. Thanks Sue! If you ask her what her name is, she will reply (with a big grin on her face) "Princess". That's what her Daddy calls her.
